Use the Import Wizard Utility
The eCapture Import Wizard Utility allows you to import new data (metadata, native files, image files, and document text) from sources other than eCapture. The data is imported into an existing eCapture Case (Project) or Custodian for uniform exporting.
The imported data (previously processed) can come from other discovery/processing tools and scanning applications. The eCapture Import Wizard Utility is utilized at the Case (Project) level or the Custodian level.
Once the data is imported it can be treated as if it was initially discovered using eCapture.
The eCapture Import Wizard Utility addresses typical imports (components) including images, text, fielded data, and native files. There are several major, standard industry load file formats that can be imported: .LST, delimited text (.DAT and .CSV), and LFP (IPRO Tech’s proprietary load file format) files.
Images (new, annotated, redacted) and text (page-level), images only, or text only (document-level) from external sources may be merged into eCapture.
An additional option was added to the Import Wizard called Manage Merge Jobs. Merge job data can be copied locally to client directories. Merge jobs can be renamed or deleted.
